Two-sided marketplaces have a cold-start problem: neither side shows up for an empty platform. The build had to be useful to property managers before a single vendor joined.
Job tracking works even with zero vendors on the platform, so property managers gained value from day one. Solving the manager's workflow first gave vendors a reason to join later.
Vendors submit against a defined schema — scope, cost breakdown, and timeline — rather than free text, which is what makes side-by-side comparison possible at all.
Quotes, messages, status changes, and completion evidence all attach to the job, so disputes are resolved by reading a timeline instead of reconstructing an email thread.
